Fires in Israel

In 2010, Israel was caught by surprise, never before such wildfires erupted across the country, mostly in Mount Carmel, Haifa, over 40 humans killed, and Israel did not have almost any resources to combat such fires. The Israeli public then did not raise eyebrows or blamed the government for lack of resources, but took it, as catastrophic as it was,  as a one time thing that never happened before. Israeli PM, then, Bibi Netanyahu promised to buy the necessary firefighters planes and to fix the situation; nothing happened ad it is usually with Netanyahu, talk but no action.

Now, same wildfires erupted, again, in Haifa and the surrounding town, and the same  PM again, now, Bibi Netanyahu and the same thing happened, Israel is still not prepared to combat wildfires and did not have the resources Netanyahu promised back in 2010. Tens of homes, forests destroyed, tens of thousands of people displaced and evacuated, no specific cause yet revealed or known but one thing is now known to the Israeli public, Netanyahu and the Israeli government were again not prepared.

Few days ago, it was reported that Bibi Netanyahu spent $1.5 Billion buying German submarines; what about buying firefighting planes, nothing at all.

During all wars in the Middle East, Israelis were not threatened as they have been because of wildfires and because of no preparations to combat and to extinguish,

Israeli government incompetence in protecting the Israeli public from fires is clear and Israeli people must question their government. And The failure to control fires in Israel should be a wake up call.

Israelis must start to raise questions beyond the usual Israeli-Palestinian conflict, in addition Israel under no threat whatsoever; resources should have been allocated to fix the infrastructure; Netanyahu cannot be trusted without probing to present a picture that is true to his people about their country. Obviously Bibi Netanyahu is taking the people of Israel for granted.

In the picture, the Mediterranean sea and parts of the city can bee sen through a burned house following wildfires in Haifa, Israel, Friday, Nov. 25, 2016. Israeli firefighters reined in a blaze that had spread across the country's third-largest city and forced tens of thousands of people to flee their homes, but continued to battle more than a dozen other fires around the country for the fourth day in a row. Hey, You, Yes You, Wake Up, Trump President

We Americans or so called intellectual Americans could not even entertain the idea to endorse Trump; how could we and he came across to "intellectuals" as the ultimate Un-American, the ultimate rude and unpolished, the ultimate joker and populist demagogue and people attacker and an American unleashed pit bull; the man said on tape " grab women by the P***Y"; But, ironically, without women vote, Trump would not have been even close to be elected.

No way, it would have been inconceivable and the ultimate political incorrectness to endorse such person for president of the United States.

A person who attacked the same system that elected him president; the man attacked the electoral college and called it rigged; said that we needed in previous elections to have gone by the popular vote; a man who lost popular vote to Hillary and won the electoral college.

A complete populist demagogue; a Niccolò Machiavelli Prince

But we could not see anything beyond that shallow shield and slogan. We could not see that people across ethnic lines felt left out, for some reason left out, although America has been strong and the economy recovered under Obama. We could not see that people like change, like to spice up their lives, get tired of same old same, same old faces, same talk, same elitist career politicians telling us how we should behave and how we should talk and how we should look if we want to succeed. Like someone once told me, 'we need some trash in our lives from time to time' and here comes Trump to provide the trash we need, he attacked everything and said almost everything that did not sound right or correct. He was the ultimate populist demagogue that some other countries chose during periods of times. and until now.

The stupidest thing we did in predicting the outcome of the US Presidential elections is to go by the conventional wisdom; Nothing was conventional about our 2016 Presidential elections. The other two outcomes were:

America now cannot be too liberal and talking about unity is nonsense; every election has been around 50/50, nothing unusual; Trump was the only unusual thing in American politics

However, America is no different, people are people. People who embraced and endorsed Trump from the start and all along, saw in him a vindictive machine about anything frustrating in their lives, Trump delivered every trash Americans needed to attack the elitist or so called elites. Hillary's distrust and tricky politics provided Trump with the needed ammunition to attack a system and politicians he called corrupt; Trump in this particular case was not so far from reality, but the system is not corrupt, politicians by nature are and now Trump joined the same group he attacked.. As for Hillary, really another thing we ignored was her treacherous campaign against Bernie Sanders and the fact that she lost the Democratic primaries in 2008 to Obama. Hillary appeared strong but in fact her campaign and career were full of holes. But again we ignored all that.

Trump is a billionaire but not an elitist Harvard guy that could come across as out of touch or cold but as Pence said in the vice presidential debate Trump is "not a polished politician"; Americans loved the unpolished politician. Americans looking for extra spicy not mild which Trump during the presidential campaign provided. The rest of Republicans including the one we thought here would be the ultimate winner, Jeb Bush, crumbled and disappeared in front of Trump. Trump delivered the trash and the screams and the frustrations and the hate and brought to the surface the worst that exist in every human being, but again in the process people released their anger in a democratic way and at the ballot boxes.

Now, he is the President-elect and we will be experimenting with Trump; he could end up to be a goldmine for politics. We never had a president like Trump before, coming really from nowhere and providing no concrete policies or platform to govern and being elected to the highest office in the land.

Maybe Trump will give the trial and error that we love to use and see how things go, provide precedents  which, again, we love to have to start, establish or avoid things in the future; Trump is the vehicle now for everything we did not have or ignored before or he might be nothing but the same old same.

Who knows now, maybe Trump will be the ultimate American and will make a positive change across the country and will keep America the nation among nations and the shining city upon a hill like Ronald Reagan once said or Trump will turn out to be the ultimate fraud we have never had or seen.

A Date with America not with Trump or Hillary

A Date with America not with Trump or Hillary

This morning, now, not tomorrow; tomorrow does not count, tomorrow is too late; now is the moment and now is the time and now we need to act. This morning, we have a date with America, we need to get clean and ready and we need to put on fine appearance and demeanor to show her how much we love her and how much we care.

Today, we have to go to our dating location and we have face to face look her in the eyes and we have to give her a big hug, after all, she only requires a hug once every four years. We cannot stand her up and we cannot waiver and we cannot shy away and we cannot stay home or retreat.

Today, now, we must show our love and strength and resilience by voting and electing our new president. The choices never been tougher and never in the history of the United States have been more challenging or more questionable as far as their legitimacy.

But these are the choices and we need to act based on who we have now not on who we think should have had. The people of each party have spoken and the choices are Trump and Hillary, however the date is not with either one, the date is with America and we owe it to her to go and vote and make a clear choice.

Obama Inc. Circa 2013

Obama Inc.
Jamil M. Shawwa Posted May 3, 2013
In business, experts say, that you must brag about your successes, you must share your ideas, you must be out there and let people know how good you are, or not, but be there, expand and try and see how it goes. Do not be shy or modest, it does not help. If you are good, then brag about it, and if you believe that you are good, then better, brag more.

In politics and in love, I claim, same metrics applies. Actually, in politics, there is more urgency, probably, to brag it and to show it more; losing or winning an election could resemble, arguably, losing or winning the heart of your dream woman.
The bottom line you need to be out more, and in democracies, bragging is not a choice if you want to survive and win, bragging is a must. Modesty in politics does not take you anywhere, or maybe it could take you to a term, or it could give you sympathy, but, most of the time,  not much more.
Since making history in November of 2008 and becoming the first African-American President of the United States, Obama did not sit still and just accepted the honor for what it is, just being elected president and making history. He understood then that was just the tip of the iceberg for him and that he needs to do more to cement his legacy and make the legacy beyond an "accidental" President  in the US history.
Obama did not want to be a coincidence, or a footnote or because America felt guilty and needed to elect a black president. Obama in 2008 has completed phase one of his task and got elected. Since that historic victory in 2008, Obama has not stopped campaigning, he established an organization that carried him to another historic milestone; to a second term in November of 2012.
He finished the second phase of his campaign in 2012 and immediately started the third and fourth phases. The third phase which is taking place right now is to win the midterm Congressional elections in 2014 and take over the control of the House and continues his control over the Senate through his party, the Democratic party. In order to do so, to take over Congress.
Obama continues the campaigning process through an organization he established immediately after reelection which is OFA (Organizing For Action); during re-election OFA stood for ( Obama For America), lead by his dream team of advisors that helped the dream of 2008 to come true and cemented the legacy in 2012.
OFA although claims independence is Obama’s action group, it is sending emails left and right and it is reaching to every corner in the US where influential counties in every state make usually a difference in the 2014 elections as they did during the 2012 presidential elections.
President Obama knows that his agenda will not pass Congress unless he controls it. All signs so far are showing one way street leading to a Democratic victory in 2014 and a passage of the Obama agenda on gun control, immigration, economic reforms and more taxes on the super rich.
And here we come to the fourth phase of the Obama campaigning which will take place after he leaves office in 2016-2017 which will make him probably the most influential former president and politician in America through the same organization that gave him two terms in office and made him join the very exclusive club of former Presidents with two terms.
Obama’s influence will continue through electing politicians and influencing lawmakers nationally and at state levels that share change, his vision of change, and keep the legacy roaring. Welcome America, to Obama Inc.
