Fires in Israel

In 2010, Israel was caught by surprise, never before such wildfires erupted across the country, mostly in Mount Carmel, Haifa, over 40 humans killed, and Israel did not have almost any resources to combat such fires. The Israeli public then did not raise eyebrows or blamed the government for lack of resources, but took it, as catastrophic as it was,  as a one time thing that never happened before. Israeli PM, then, Bibi Netanyahu promised to buy the necessary firefighters planes and to fix the situation; nothing happened ad it is usually with Netanyahu, talk but no action.

Now, same wildfires erupted, again, in Haifa and the surrounding town, and the same  PM again, now, Bibi Netanyahu and the same thing happened, Israel is still not prepared to combat wildfires and did not have the resources Netanyahu promised back in 2010. Tens of homes, forests destroyed, tens of thousands of people displaced and evacuated, no specific cause yet revealed or known but one thing is now known to the Israeli public, Netanyahu and the Israeli government were again not prepared.

Few days ago, it was reported that Bibi Netanyahu spent $1.5 Billion buying German submarines; what about buying firefighting planes, nothing at all.

During all wars in the Middle East, Israelis were not threatened as they have been because of wildfires and because of no preparations to combat and to extinguish,

Israeli government incompetence in protecting the Israeli public from fires is clear and Israeli people must question their government. And The failure to control fires in Israel should be a wake up call.

Israelis must start to raise questions beyond the usual Israeli-Palestinian conflict, in addition Israel under no threat whatsoever; resources should have been allocated to fix the infrastructure; Netanyahu cannot be trusted without probing to present a picture that is true to his people about their country. Obviously Bibi Netanyahu is taking the people of Israel for granted.

Israeli firefighters reined in a blaze that had spread across the country's third-largest city and forced tens of thousands of people to flee their homes, but continued to battle more than a dozen other fires around the country for the fourth day in a row.
